Here I’ve collected some frequently asked questions about my practice and our working together. If you don’t see something you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (see the Contact page) and I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m able.

What are your session fees?

My standard fee for therapy is $140 per session.

Individual therapy sessions are typically about 50 minutes in length.

Session fees, copays, or deductible amounts are due at the time of the appointment unless otherwise arranged.

What if you don’t accept my insurance?

Out Of Network (OON) benefit claims can be submitted for you on your behalf as a courtesy by my practice. I encourage you to look into your insurance OON mental health benefits as reimbursement for services may be possible for you, based off your unique insurance plan.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes, I do accept insurance. If you plan to use insurance to help cover the cost of therapy, it’s important to understand how your benefits work, as coverage can vary widely depending on your specific plan.

I currently accept the following insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Harvard Pilgrim
  • Optum

Clients are responsible for any deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance required by their insurance plan. These amounts are determined by your insurer, not by me, and are due at the time of your session unless otherwise arranged.

What I Recommend Before We Begin

I strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly before starting therapy to confirm:

  • Whether my services are covered under your plan
  • Your deductible amount and whether it has been met
  • Your copayment or coinsurance per session
  • Any limits on the number of covered sessions

While I am happy to provide the information you need to ask these questions, insurance companies ultimately determine coverage and reimbursement. Checking your benefits in advance can help avoid unexpected costs and allow us to begin our work together with clarity and transparency.
